Coffee carts in Ireland
A website for a coffee cart in Ireland
A coffee cart's site needs four things: when and where you trade, the menu, how to reach you for an event, and photos. One small site does it. Cupán Studio builds it first, and it is €690 once if you keep it.
Cupán Studio builds websites for coffee carts in Ireland as well as cafés: the site is built from your Instagram and Google listing, sent live before you pay, and €690 once to keep.
On 20 September 2026 we read the Google listings of 77 independent Dublin cafés, roasters and coffee carts, and 15 of the 77 point the website field at a site of their own (the count is here). Carts were in that 77. The other 62 send you to Instagram, to Facebook, or nowhere at all, and that is the gap this page is about.
Coffee cart website options side by side
| Instagram only | Free builder plan (Wix Free) | Cupán Studio Live | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | No website to pay for, because there is not one | Wix says "Start for free" and "No credit card required". Wix's paid Light plan was US$17 a month, billed yearly, as shown to us in dollars; Wix sets the euro price by your billing address | €690 once, only if you keep it |
| Can Google and AI assistants read your hours and menu as data? | Not checked | Not checked | Yes: hours, menu, address and phone are written in as structured data, with an llms.txt |
| Your own domain | No, you have a profile and not a domain | Wix says a Premium plan is what lets you connect your own domain | Bought and connected for you. A domain is €45 a year; a .ie is €60 a year |
| Who sets it up | You | You | We do, from what is already public, before you pay |
Does a coffee cart need a website if it has Instagram?
Not to start, but a site does a different job: it puts your trading days, menu and events contact on a page of your own, as plain facts that Google and AI assistants can read. Instagram is where your regulars follow you, and it should stay that way. A website holds the plain facts in a form that a search or an assistant can lift out: the trading days and hours, the menu, and the contact for events.
People setting up carts are not sure either. A coffee van owner setting up in Bristol wrote, "I didn't think a website would be completely necessary though? But I've set one up (from a template) before." (r/bristol). Someone planning a coffee cart asked how to get first event clients, and the reply was "Referrals are big, but also beginning a social presence (website, social media channels, etc...)" (r/barista). Our longer answer on the question is a website against Google Maps and Instagram.
What should a coffee cart website have?
Four things, and they fit on the six pages we build: home, menu, hours, about, find us and contact.
- Where and when you trade. Your days and times go on the hours page, which you change from your phone in the panel. Your regular pitch goes on the find us page. With Live + Care you message us a change, a new pitch included, and we make it.
- The menu. Imported from a PDF or a photo of your board.
- A contact page for events and private hire. Your phone and email, and a hello@ address on your own domain that forwards to the inbox you already use.
- Photos. Your own, from your Instagram and your listing, with atmosphere images where you have none.
What we do not build: online ordering, a booking system or a map of pitches. The site has an hours page, a find us page and a contact page.
What about permits and licences?
That is a separate question from the website, and it is answered in full in our article on running a coffee van in Ireland. We do not restate it here.
How much does a coffee cart website cost?
From Cupán Studio it is €690 once, or €435 and then €79 every four weeks if you would rather we keep the hours, menu and photos current for you. A Wix free site costs nothing until you want your own domain, and then it is a paid plan. Published Irish prices for a café site run from €60 a year to €5,000; the table of them is here, read on 14 September 2026, and the pricing page says what is in ours.
Who builds websites for coffee carts in Ireland?
We do, among others. Cupán Studio builds only for independent coffee businesses in Ireland, and coffee carts are on that list with cafés, coffee shops, roasters and café-bakeries. The site is built first from your Google listing, your Instagram and your menu, put live on a preview link and sent to you. There is nothing to sign and nothing to pay unless you keep it, and the preview is held fourteen days. How it works has the three steps.
One thing worth checking. Of the 175 coffee businesses in our own register, read on 18 October 2026, three point their Google listing at a builder page that has broken. One shows Squarespace's "Website Expired" page, and two show a Wix domain-connection error page. Open your own listing's website link on your phone and check it works.
Every site we have built so far is for a shop in County Dublin. The work page shows four made-up demo shops built to test the system, and no client names or ratings. Judge Cupan Studio by the live demos, not by what we say.
When the other option is the better choice
If you enjoy building things and have evenings to spare, a Wix free site is a fair answer. It is free to start, and you learn the panel by doing it. If your cart trades a handful of weekends and you take bookings by message, Instagram on its own may be all you need for now. If you want to order from your site, with payments, that is a shop builder's job and not ours: Wix's Core plan was US$29 a month, billed yearly, as shown to us in dollars, and lists "Accept payments".
Google's own free website for a business listing is gone. Google shut them down in 2024, with redirects from business.site starting on 1 March 2024 and ending on 10 June 2024 (TechRadar). If your cart relied on one, it needs a new home.
Two sister pages compare the builders in more detail: a Wix alternative for cafés and Squarespace against Wix for a café.
Questions coffee cart owners ask
- Do I need a website for a coffee cart?
- You can start without one. A site gives a search, or an event planner, one page with your trading days, menu and contact.
- Can I change where I am parked today?
- Your days and times, yes: the hours page is edited from your phone in the panel. A new pitch is a message to us on Live + Care and we make the change. The site does not track a moving cart live.
- Can people book my cart for a wedding or an event?
- They can ring or email you from the contact page, and the hello@ address forwards to the inbox you already use. We do not build a booking system.
- I only have an Instagram. Can you build from that?
- Yes. The site is built from your Instagram, your Google listing, any reviews and your menu. You do not write a brief.
- What if I do not like it?
- Then it comes down after fourteen days and you owe nothing. You keep it only if you say yes.
- What is the guarantee?
- If in the first 60 days live the site has not brought one thing you can point at (an order, a booking, a call, an enquiry or a review that mentions it), we keep working free until it does, or you get all €690 back and keep the site.
- Do you build for carts as well as cafés?
- Yes. Independent coffee businesses are all we build for, and a cart gets the same six pages as a café.
