The best website builder for a coffee shop in Ireland

No single builder is best; it depends on whether you will build it yourself. Wix has a free plan, Webador shows euro prices, Squarespace has a 14-day trial, or Cupán Studio builds it first, €690 once.

For an independent café in Ireland that would rather not build its own site, Cupán Studio is the done-for-you alternative to a website builder: the six-page site is built and live on a preview link before you pay, then it is €690 once on your own domain.

Each company's own page as it showed to us on 18 October 2026: Wix, Webador, Squarespace and Square Online. Where we did not check, the cell says so. Wix and Squarespace showed us US dollars and we have not converted anything.

Which builder is cheapest for a café?

On the table alone, the free plans cost nothing, and the free plans of Wix and Webador come without your own domain. Of the paid plans, Webador and Square Online listed euro prices: Webador Lite at €5.50 a month, before VAT, with the introductory halving ending on 31 October 2026. Square gave only a starting price, "upgrades starting at €14/mo". Wix and Squarespace showed us dollars, so we do not convert them and cannot say which is cheaper in euro. Check each on your own billing address. Our own figures are on the pricing page, and what a café website costs in Ireland has the published Irish prices for having one made.

Our café website hasn't changed since we opened

A café owner on r/barista wrote: "So our cafe website sucks. It hasn't changed since the place opened in 2016 and is outdated, both with info and style." A builder can fix the style. The information goes stale unless someone keeps it current. A reply in that thread said: "I've recently switched from Squarespace to FastPage... it automatically manages itself so i don't have to update it if i change my hours". That is one reply's view and we have not tested it.

Do builder sites break?

Sometimes. Of the 175 coffee businesses in our own register, read on 18 October 2026, three point their Google listing at a builder page that does not work: one Squarespace "Website Expired" page and two Wix domain-connection error pages. We do not know why, and three of 175 is small. It is a reason to check your own link.

When a builder is the better choice

A builder is the right answer if you like building and have evenings to give it. A builder is also the better choice if you need online ordering or payments: Wix Core lists them, and ours does not. If you want a full euro price list on an Irish site, Webador shows one; Square Online shows a euro starting price. See also a Wix alternative for cafés and Squarespace vs Wix for a café.

Can I have it built instead?

Yes. We build the site first from what is already public, put it live on a preview link and send you the link. If you keep it, it is €690 once on your own domain; if you don't, it comes down after fourteen days and you owe nothing. How it works has the three steps.

If it hasn't brought you one thing you can point at in your first 60 days live, an order, booking, call, enquiry or a review that mentions it, we keep working free until it does, or you get all €690 back and keep the site.

We have no paying clients yet, so we have no names to give you. The work page shows four made-up demo shops built to test the system, so judge the preview of your own shop, not a reference.

Questions café owners ask

Yes, several. Wix says "Creating your own website is free", Webador lists a Free plan as "Always free" with "No domain name", and Square Online says "Start free". You build the site yourself on each.
Is Webador priced in euro?
Its Irish pricing page listed Lite at €5.50, Pro at €10 and Business at €20 a month, exclusive of VAT, with annual payment. Monthly payment can be cancelled "with a notice period of 1 month".
Does Squarespace have a free plan?
No. Squarespace says it does not offer a free plan, but every site starts with a free trial, 14 days, no credit card.
What does Cupán Studio cost?
€690 once for Live, or €435 and then €79 every four weeks for Live + Care, where we make the hours, menu and seasonal changes for you. A domain is €45 a year, a .ie €60.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes. On Live you change the hours, menu and photos in a panel, from a phone. On Live + Care we do it.
Does it take online orders?
